This week we're kicking off the first of a short series about "We (Who) Voice Learning". And we're starting The Sound of Happy: How a Former Teacher Became the Voice Behind Major Brands…

When
Laura Schreiber won the "Miss Explain In Detail" award in preschool, it was an early sign of things to come. Today, she's a sought-after voice actor whose work spans from heartfelt documentaries to playful video game characters, bringing what colleagues describe as "a burst of bubbly sunshine" to every project.

"I was born talking and haven't stopped since," Laura says with characteristic enthusiasm. Her journey to voice acting took an enlightening detour through education, where she taught history at New York's Nightingale-Bamford School. "Teaching taught me how to engage an audience and bring content to life - skills that are invaluable in the voice booth."

Her versatility has made her the voice of choice for brands like Ace Hardware, Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, and JetBlue. Whether she's narrating a touching piece for Genesis Women's Shelter or bringing cheerful energy to a Bosch cooking video, Laura's warmth and authenticity shine through.

"Voice acting isn't just about having a good voice," she explains. "It's about connecting with the audience, whether you're playing a 10-year-old in a YMCA commercial or narrating a corporate training video. Each project demands its own unique emotional truth."

From her custom-built home studio, Laura continues to expand her repertoire, even incorporating her French language skills into children's content. "Every day brings a new creative challenge," she says. "And that's exactly what makes this work so exciting."
